Xiang Yang Kindergarten in Yangpu District, Shanghai (上海市楊浦區向陽幼兒園) is a prestigious kindergarten with a glorious 50-year history, recognized as a model kindergarten in Shanghai. Oasis English Kindergarten/Preschool in Hong Kong offers a biliterate and trilingual language policy that integrates play, interaction, and practical experiences. To promote exchanges and cooperation in basic education between Hong Kong and Shanghai, Oasis English Kindergarten/Preschool has successfully established a partnership with Xiang Yang Kindergarten, supported by the education bureau of Shanghai. This marks the beginning of a significant journey.

On December 6th, 2024, representatives from Oasis English Kindergarten/Preschool visited Xiang Yang Kindergarten for exchange visit, developing a solid foundation for cooperation. The two kindergartens share highly compatible goals in educational philosophy, teaching management models, and curriculum discussions. They hope to achieve comprehensive resource sharing through close interactions, enhancing curriculum culture, teaching methods, and the development of children’s activities, thereby assisting in elevating teachers’ professional standards to new milestones.

In the presence of representatives from various sectors in Hong Kong and Macau, Chen Min, Deputy Director of The United Front Department of CPC Central Committee and Wu Cheng Ying, Deputy Director of the Education Bureau of Yangpu District, Shanghai, a signing ceremony was held between the two kindergartens. This event symbolizes further collaboration and exchange in the field of basic education between the two regions.

The successful signing ceremony marks a new starting point for cooperation in early childhood education between Shanghai and Hong Kong. With the joint efforts of both parties, it is believed that this will bring more diverse and vibrant educational resources to children in both areas, infusing new energy and vitality into the field of early childhood education and collectively painting a beautiful blueprint for the future of early childhood education.
